Portrait Ana

Ana’s Story: A Life on Two Wheels

For this short documentary, I wanted to share a glimpse into Ana’s life—an expat living in the Netherlands—and how moving to Amsterdam, and embracing the local bike culture, reshaped her daily rhythm.

This was a one-woman production: I planned, interviewed, filmed, recorded audio, and edited the final piece. Working solo meant constantly switching lenses—from logistical to emotional, technical to intuitive—while keeping the story centered on Ana.

What I love about documentary work is how much it teaches you about observation. With Ana, it wasn’t just about what she said—it was how she moved, what she paused to show me, and how she adapted to her new environment.

Now in UX, I bring that same mindset into my process: noticing unspoken patterns, understanding routines, and translating them into thoughtful design decisions. Whether I'm mapping a user flow or preparing for a usability test, I try to stay curious and grounded in real, everyday moments.
